Naresh Kumar Mittal is a retired Income Tax Inspector, Government of India, with more than 30 years of professional service. He was actively associated with the Income Tax Employees Federation for over 27 years. After taking Voluntary Retirement (VRS) from the Income Tax Department, Government of India, he devoted himself to social service and humanitarian initiatives, with a special focus on the care and welfare of children living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and their families.

With more than 35 years of experience in community and social development, he has worked extensively with NGOs and grassroots organizations, supporting programmes for rural and economically disadvantaged communities across Haryana and Punjab. His work has included district- and state-level initiatives aimed at strengthening community welfare, youth development, healthcare access, and social support.

His voluntary contributions have been recognized by various organizations, including a District Youth Award. He has played an active role in initiatives such as CHILDLINE 1098, Usha International Silai Schools, NABARD-supported development programmes, Brooke India’s equine welfare initiatives, Eye Surgery Camps and Blood Donation Drives.

As Chairman & Managing Trustee of SEVA Trust UK, he provides strategic leadership and governance for the Trust's charitable programmes, including SEVA Dhaam Ashram – Managed by SEVA Trust UK (India). His responsibilities include guiding the organization’s long- term direction, strengthening community partnerships, and overseeing initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of vulnerable individuals and families.

His decision to dedicate his post-retirement years to the DMD community reflects his longstanding commitment to humanitarian service. Through SEVA Dhaam Ashram, he supports initiatives focused on care, education, rehabilitation, family assistance, and greater social inclusion for children affected by DMD.

With a lifelong commitment to public service and community welfare, Naresh Kumar Mittal continues to work towards building sustainable support systems and creating meaningful opportunities for those in need, guided by the mission of SEVA Trust UK (India)

Dr. Varinder Jain is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in journalism and social work. He has been a journalist for the Punjab Kesari Group since 2004. His passion for both fields is evident in his unwavering commitment to his profession and community. Dr. Jain continually strives for excellence, always seeking opportunities to make a meaningful impact. His life philosophy is beautifully captured in his quote: "Destinations are achieved by those who have life in their dreams – it’s not the wings, but the determination that makes one fly." Dr.Jain saying "I am differently-abled – not incapable" reflects that the word 'impossible' can always be removed from the dictionary of the lives of the differently-abled.This reflects his belief in the power of determination and inner strength, inspiring others to recognize and nurture their potential.

Actively involved in wellness initiatives for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Dr. Jain provides essential healthcare services to disadvantaged individuals. Through SEVA Trust India, he aims to use his experiences and knowledge to support and uplift these children and communities in need.

Vivek Sharma

Vivek Sharma is Rural Management Professional from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, Gujrat and MA in Mass Comm. from Kurukshetra University with over 21 years of experience in development sector and NGO project management. He has diverse experience in livelihood, health, social justice, rural & urban development, handicrafts, tourism, women & child development, forest ecosystem services as well as finance and accounts management.

He has worked with various agencies and NGOs (local, regional & national), community based organisations (CBOs, SHGs, JFMCs), corporate foundations, companies, consulting organisations, funding agencies in various states of India including Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Uttrakhand. He has played pioneering role in developing pine needle handicraft in Himachal Pradesh. He brings a wealth of practical experience and is very passionate to help and support communities by equipping them with self-reliant skills and developing wider partnerships for a long term support.
